Hallo everyone!!! I am finally in Germany and I absolutely love it!! My flight over here was quite nice; I ended up sleeping most of it and sat next to a young German. He was very nice and quite pleasing to look at :0)... For those of you hoping that I will marry a young German man,I´m sorry to disappoint you, but there is nothing more that happened with him.
Even though I have not started the actual DTS yet (and won't until Saturday the 4th), each moment of this trip seems to have been perfectly ordained by God. First of all, there was no trouble with any of my flights or luggage in coming to Germany. After asking a couple people where the long term train station was, I soon found the signs and easily found the station within the airport. That's right the station is actually in the airport!!! While I sat waiting and hoping that I was in the right place, I suddenly became very aware of how incredibly alone I was. A wave of sadness came rushing over me, and tears began to well up in my eyes. It took everything within me to keep from breaking down and letting all of my tears and stress flow as a river to the ground. Praying in desperation, I decided not to walk down the "pity" road and regained my composer. Since I had two hours of waiting, I decided to bust out my Bible and listen to worship music on my ipod. I tried reading, but still felt too overwhelmed to really focus, so I put my Bible down and opted to simply sit and listen to my music. Out of no where this middle aged couple asks/motions to sit down in the seats next to me. Of course I nodded yes and proceeded to listen to my music. Suddenly it occurred to me that, they had asked in English. Taking off my head phones, I turned to the Lady. Since she looked American, I decided to ask her if she was. Low and behold she and her husband were from North Carolina. She took notice of the Bible on my lap and asked if was indeed a Bible. After I confirmed that it was, she shared with me that she and her husband work for a mission organization in the states, and that they were here for a conference! So I told her all about my DTS, and we hit it off right away. Since she and her husband were also taking a train from the same station and weren't leaving until 20 minutes after my departure, we decided to have breakfast together. Also they had already been to Frankfurt and knew more about the train station and were able to better guide me about my ticket, and getting on the train, and so forth. I completely enjoyed their fellowship; God truly couldn't have blessed me with a better gift in that moment! Anyways it is 0:29 right now which means that I need to get some sleep. I will write later all about my train ride with my new Indian friend and all of my wonderful adventures with my friend Anna-Lenna and her lovely family! Love you and hope God is blessing you tremendously no matter where you are in life right now!
